So, I woke up today with a bit of a sore head, when i get a phonecall from my mechanic friend who says "shall we fit your exhaust today?"

Straight out of bed, bacon buttie down me gob, and to the garage!

Milltek turbo back system (inc decat) now installed. I have been errring on the decat for ages due to the speculative potential changes to MOT law next year. I've been watching VOSA's notices closely, and nothing has been notified yet, so I thought stuff it, go for it! My mechanic buddy reckons there's always speculation on changes coming up, and often do not actually get implemented.

Anyway, I'm prepared to eat my hat if it does come in!

Owl noise present for the first 5 miles or so, now it's much more quiet, and almost not noticable (boo).

But overall, I'm very happy. Looks great, noticable difference to the performance, revs much more freely, and sounds great, without being too 'in your face'.

Only one slight issue - one of the studs on the turbo flange sheared on removal

Fortunately, there was enough thread to get a nut back onto it comfortably. Thank F**k!

dont worry so much about the MOT changes VOSA came to my garage not long ago to test my mate for his MOT license and the VOSA guy was under the impression the new regulations will only be for cars fitted with DPF from factory.

Looks spot on mate, might have to get the old dremmel on my blueflame to get it looking sweet. Everytime I see a milltek I want one :'(

Yes, Pigeon/owl noise is there, sometimes more noticable than others. It's an addiciting noise.

I love the general sound from the cabin - it sounds very much less diesel like, and more purposeful with lovely boosting noises.
