Best way of valuing a car? (Free)

Featured Replies

My sister in law wants to find a reliable, free way of getting a valuation of her car. Not going to WeStealAnyCar.com....

Any other suggestions? Parkers? Is that any good?

Best way is to look on Autotrader/eBay/PH for the same model and see what they're advertised at. I took Parkers and Vauxhall figures for selling my Leon (about £4k at the time) and got literally zero interest till I'd chopped £300 off, eventually sold it for £3300.

cheers, that's worked really well. Thanks for the link. Not the news she wanted though..... £350!!!!! :o

Vauxhall's site has changed to a CAP's guide now, I think it used to be based on Glass's Guide

It says £3100 for SWMBO's Verso! :o I've a mind to trade it in quick!!!! While it's still worth a decent sum of money!

hi,

It's the 1.8vvTi T3 but I'd rather not sell it to a fellow member if you get my meaning. There's a reason I'd be selling it. This one will be going for trade in!

Prob will be April when it goes anyway, was just being sarcastic about selling it now!

Thanks,

Martin

Depends a lot on what it is, certain people will pay more than others for certain cars. It's only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.
