Just out of curiosity would it be a viable option to fit this turbo onto the fabia vrs? if cost was not an issue?

if cost isn't an issue you could fit what you wanted to whatever..

if you are talking a diesel vrs then it probably would be pointless the turbo probably isnt going to get going till about 3.5-4k rpm.. but in the tsi providing all the manifolds were made to watch and the internals were forged capable of handling the power then I wouldn't see why not?! Would be talking big bucks though lol

A new petrol vRS?

You would seriously need to spend alot on other engine components and gearbox

Not really. The turbo makes its peak power very very high in the rev range near 7500rpm, which requires a strengthened valve train. Also bigger high and low pressure fuel pumps, injectors, pistons, rods, compression ratio change, strengthencrank intercoolers, custom manifold to make a very large turbo fit into the small available space.

Then theres the issue of the gearbox.

Tbh, theres not enough cubic capacity to spool a turbo of that size for normal use. There are however other options discussed here >>>>>My link<<<<<

Hello Max,

The turbo in our car has a massive AR ratio which in the real world is useless in a 2.0 litre turbo!

You would expect to find the AR ratio in our car in something with almost double the cc!

The boost gauge on the Bonneville vRS didn't move until 5,500 rpm and can then build 45 psi (we never ran it that high though).

What are you looking for in particular? That will be your biggest factor on what turbo to use.

I hope this helps.

Cheers Ricky
