Estate mods?

Featured Replies

Anyone own or ever come across a modded Fabia Estate other than the first vRS styling study by Skoda? Would like to think about doing some subtle mods in the future- I wondered if it might have a sort of boxy understated coolness to it....(dare I say the word Avant? ...probably not here!)

Already had some advice regarding chips and eibachs on this forum. It's the 1.9 TDi so should go alright.

What sort of mods are you after? MS Designs seem to be popular for grille surrounds, sills, spoilers, etc. Also worth checking out the Fabia body-kit for the non-vRS from your local Skoda dealer if you want it to look more vRS like.

The only cosmetic mods I've done to mine (aside from getting rid of that damn beige interior!) is to debadge it and also to lower it, which makes it sit a lot better on the stock 14" alloys. I was tempted to go up to 15"'s or 16"'s to improve the looks, without sacrificing stealth-factor, but I found better things to spend my money on :rofl:

Bearing in mind this is all when I get some diposable income (!) I will need some alloys for it as it has steels on it at the moment. I might consider the stock vRS alloys unless I find some that suit the car better. Are 15s a better all round bet if I want to lower it a bit? Are the Eibach's you have close to the vRS setup?

I might consider some subtle spoiler and wing type mods although I quite like the look of the more forward vRS front bumper. Nothing too heavy though- you know the approach?

A chip/ remap is certainly on the cards but only once the warranty runs out. I also like fiddling about with Intake bits- Ive made some promising mods on the last two BM's Ive had so we'll see. Any advice appreciated so long as it's not to chavvy- (No offence to Chavvy boy also on this forum!)

Hopefull I'll get some photoshopping done soon so I've got something to work with.

The Eibachs I have are better than the stock vRS setup :D I'm not sure about the difference between 15"'s and 16"'s. The springs drop the car 35-40mm so they'll sit nicely on either.

It'll be interesting to know what intake things you have in mind. The bigger air intake from the Seat Cupra is a direct replacement for the piddly Fabia one, and I've got a Green panel filter in my air box. I know Andy_Ellis on here has lagged his entire air intake in some kind of heat wrap to reduce the air temp too. Another subtle mod you can do is improve the amount of air fed to the intercooler...... :)

Good job! Any front 3/4 shots without the winter wheels on?

Is that a complete vRS front end? was it a hassle to do or was it just a bolt on job? Just doing some Photoshop stuff at the mo to get some ideas but that is pretty much the route I am hoping to take but I'll probably source some wheels with more spokes on them. Are you going to put the rear wing on too or are you happy with it now? Which suspension have you got on there? Sorry loads of questions!!

i have a work in progress estate mods done so far are:

debadged front grille

milotec front splitter

carbon door pillars

carbon mirrors

carbon handles

roof spoiler from czech

eyebrows

sub/amp etc

tinted windows

carbon dash look kit

stuff to come:

17" arospeed rsgt's

uprated suspension

induction kit

remap

uprated discs

strut brace

and much much more

Mmm- Might limit my carbon activities to the intake setup but do you have any pics? Would be interesting to see it winged and spoilered.
