Introducing myself as requested!

I've had three Octavia estates. The first, a 1.9TDI L+K, I had for four years and then by my wife bought it. It is now over 8 years old. I have just replaced both rear springs; one was broken at the top and the other at the bottom! Now going to change the rear brake pads and discs. Never done it before on an Octavia, but have done the job many times on other cars. That's what brought me to this forum.

My second Octy was a yellow VRS 2.0TDI estate. Had it for 3 years (just ober 60k miles) and then changed it for a yellow VRS 2.0TDI estate! The 'new' one (18 months old now) is pretty much the same spec as the first one, but drives much more smoothly. And it has a tow bar! What a great tow car (we tow a 4 berth caravan from time to time).

I also own some classic cars - two Triumph 2000s - and we tow the caravan with one of those from time to time too.
