I'll let you know what it's like. (That is, if you haven't bought something else in the meantime!) ;)

It's got good sound - not excellent, but good sound (on standard Octavia 8 x speaker setup). Way better than the Soda Stream (Ooops, I mean Skoda Stream), which has nasty harsh sound.

The JVC has a three level equaliser (best bet to customise the sound) or you can use the bult-in pre-sets (but these are really best avoided).

Radio reception is better as well, but don't ask me how that works.

I used a Connects2 kit, including aerial adaptor, CAN-BUS cable adaptor and facia/DIN chassis. Almost everything about this kit is great - almost plug and play (the aerial adaptor has to be connected to the back of the embeded ISO connector in the car's wiring connector. But the facia kit is awful. Really, really, awful. And it doesn't even fit the shape of the facia surround properly. This is something that I'm definately going to change.

Edit: Got rid of the Connects2 fascia. It really is pants.

I bought a new Skoda fascia - the one used for built-in satnav - and made my own DIN chassis mount and a cover to hide the gap between the radio and the new fascia.

Of anyone is interested. i'll take some pics. :)
