Goodbye and thanks for all the fish

Featured Replies

Well after the problems I've had with my Superb, my impressions of the car were severely deflated. It wasn't all bad, but with 20 weeks to cure an engine fault (car was at the dealers for a total of 12 weeks), I didn't think it would be too long before I changed my car, but I did last another 6 months.

I've gone back to Saabs (now my third), I've got another 9-5, Aero 2.3T with auto, leather, cruise etc etc. MPG not as good as the Superb, (which actually got worse than when I first got it), but this is a seriously comfortable car. The suspension on the Aero is somewhat different to the standard 9-5, and even though its stiffer, the ride is quieter. Other things which immediatly stand out as better than the Superb, the Climate Control is far better (as I remember on my previous 9-5), and the sound system.

The other thing with the Aero is that even with the auto version, its faster than the Octy vRS .

I'd like to thank the members of Briskoda for their help and chat, at least one fault was diagnosed on here and the dealer had no idea. If the dealer had been better, then I don't know, I may have stuck with Skoda, the new Octy looks nice, but I've been left with a sour taste.

My wife says she likes the Fabia, so you never know, I may be back sometime - who knows, but I will be avoiding the local dealers :thumbdwn:.
