Window seal strips

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals,

After a bit of advice, i have purchased a new set of rear window door seal, (the bit that runs the length of the window bottom on the top of the door)

Mine have bubbled and mangled from being taken off and on when the door has been painted

Any tips or guides on how to replace them, they are fitted really snuggly at the moment, are they pull off and push on??

Any help much much appreciated

Cheers

Rob

If you're not bothered about damaging the one coming off then the easiest place to yank them off is from the b pillar.. it's not straight onto the door here, but onto a little clip. just open the front door for access and grab the end of the rear doors seal and pull up towards the sky.

Like I say though, doing it this way will most likely bend it unless you're very carful.

Got the removal sorted. Any tips on fitting. It gets a little tricky around the quarter glass on the rear doors.

Any tips. Don't mind practicing and mangling the old ones

just make sure they are lined up correctly lengthwise and apply an even pressure from one end to the other..

I guess a long plank of wood could be used to apply even pressure?
