Featured Replies

Hi all, you know that advert bet you cant suck a rowntree pastill, well its a bit like driving a vrs, saying to your self well im going to take it ever so easy and get a good mileage, and like the pastill you cant suck at all u got to chew it, just like driving ever so carful then something inside you say go chew, next thing you are right in the turbo range and goinbg like a bat out of hell, passing people as if they are standing still, little horns come out of your head and you cant stop, until you reach your destiation, and then you think bugger bang goes my good miles to the gallon, but that silly smile tells all, love my vrs(o and rowntrees fruit pasilles and i cant suck one lol) Any one feel like this? :giggle:

What a great way to put it!!! Yes I do that :/ wish I could drive it sensibly but can't ::

hahaha!!! This is EXACTLY the sensation I get when driving the VRS. "I'm going to drive sensibly...... WHOOMPH, foot's down, and i'm off! Woops :giggle:

:giggle:

That's a great way of putting it. I really hope I find it's like this when I finally get mine. Really want to put the fun back into driving again.

Fun post this; but sadly I am old enough to suck fruit pastilles, most of the time.

However I find chewing the best fun.

Tony :giggle:

I have to suck "em............No teeth :giggle:

Has anyone ever managed to suck a Rowntree Fruit Pastille whilst driving a Vrs? Is it within the laws of physics? I've done the math, but it's inconclusive!

Edited because I couldn't spell 'suck'...but now corrected!

I only get that feeling when my mates in the car with me or when he brings his clio sport round then play time is on ;)

Haha, nice post. I know exactly how you feel and Im the same, although I can on occasion resist the urge to chew a pastil. Can't drive the VRS gently mind you.

Everytime I'm behind the wheel it's like I've stolen it!

Must never let my wife read this thread, or my order WILL be cancelled.

Yeah I tend to keep the oil temp displayed on ours as cant bare to look at the MPG or Range.

Has to be said if you drive them sensibly they are exceptionally frugal (wife regularly gets 42MPG) but you start developing a lead foot (particularly on a short run) and using the horses then the MPG does get a bit scary
