Big up for the Rug Doctor......

Featured Replies

Good Morning.

Just thought Id share my recent work. I finally got round to cleaning the seats out of that 51 plate vRS. They were pritty dirty really and if Id known just how much cr4p was on them I would of used seat covers lol.

I did my car back in 2009 just after leaving the army and this was the result:

I didnt get chance to do it last year due to being Agency and as some may know you need to do all the work you can and every hr pos just incase there is no more.

So now I am almost settled in my new class 1 job I thought it time to actually do something and get the seats sorted. Also did my car too as it would be rood not to. only a quick going over but it has come up nice, needs to be done every year really as I cant get all the marks off like before.

These were the seats out of the 51 plate car:

It took me 3 hr of going over and over them but they have come up really nice, I treated the leatehr too and the small wear patches and creases are now looking black again and they dont look that old if I do say so myself.

2 quick passes:

These were in the car up till I fitted the R32 seats back at the end of 2009 so did around 65K miles.

Now for the ONLY bad part:

Every Time I see this I just want to shoot the damn cats! It looks worse in the pic but its still there. Wouldnt be as bad if it was on the other side but its on the Passengers side and in the middle of the car. Anyone know where it can be sorted?

Didnt notice this till a few month after we got the cats, at the start the used to go in the room and hide in amongst the car seats and PC table. after they came round I stripped the room out to clean it out and noticed that. Since then the door has been shut! cant risk them doing it again to the stuff off the 51 car. I would have to put 28g of lead into the both of them!

They are cute tho and my nuts are valuable to me

:S

Heard antifreeze works, or may be you could take them to work with you and let them play on the motorway* :giggle:

*I was joking anyone that belives what i said was advice to Billy and that i would do anything to harm animals is a sad old git who themselves need to drink some antifreeze before going to play on a motorway or jumping off a cliff

took a second to register what you were on about lol.

Thats not very sporting tho or fair to them.

Really was my fault for saying yes to them in the first place but you live and learn by your mistakes. oh and keep the door shut.

I prefer a 30gm load myself Billy....

Seats came up well there. Good to see them back to their original white/silver colour. A lot of people think the interior is supposed to be cream coloured!

I use Turtle Wax Interior1 on my seats, and it gets most of the stuff off. It's great for the door cards and getting oily finger marks and water stains off them. Think I need to rent something like you had to get the front carpet/seats perfect though.

Nice one Billy.

Good to see your seats nice and clean.

Actually got round to cleaning my interior, all the plastic's, carpets seats and used some leather conditioner on seats, gear surround, hand brake and steering wheel. Came up very nice.

Nice one Billy.

Was the dark carpet standard fit / an option? Or did you retro-fit out of another model?

I retro fitted it from VW Bora. Went in with no issues and same fittings as VRS one.

I was fed up trying to keep the VRS one clean.

Bowders, is that a mul-t-lock jobbie on the trans tunnel?

what the best stuff to use to deep clean the carpets, just got a vax and am planning to clean the interior when i have moved into me new house

The VAX stuff will work fine.

Hi Billy,

Wow! The carpet/seats clean is really good, Nice one

I've been trying to do mine and used all sorts of different carpet cleaning solutions etc but think it needs a proper wet vac. Is that what you used to do yours?

How do you get the edging of the mats to come back up white?

Oh and that cup holder fitted great thanks. Not used it but can't stand the thought of something broken on my cars.

Hi Buddy, well spotted , yes it is one of those old styly steering wheel to pedal locks. Had it years from when i had a RS Turbo.
