Hi, I'm pretty new here, so am not up to speed on everything yet, so I have a few questions for those 'in the know'. I have a new Yeti on order with towbar prep, and once I get it and get the towbar fitted (I intend to do this myself), I will need to get the ECU coded to enable the towbar functionality. Now, rather than pay a dealer £80 or so to do this, I would prefer to put the money towards a VCDS interface, so question 1 is therefore can I do the coding myself if I obtain a VCDS interface, and if so, does anyone have instructions for this? Question 2 is what exact interface do I need for the Yeti, which I expect will have the latest canbus functionality? There seems to be a couple of options for this...... Question 3 - can anyone recommend a UK distributor for VCDS?

Latest VCDS typically costs around £260-£270 depending on the current US $$ exchange rate. I paid £260 late last year for mine. I also recently tapped into doing the activation of trailer mode / disabling reversing sensors when in trailer mode, on an EOS, so its fresh in the brain what needs doing on VCDS
