Nokia E5 - any experience?

Featured Replies

Work have assigned me a new phone, a Nokia E5.

What's experience do you all have of it? Any good? Can I add apps to it like on Android?

Cheers,

Martin

It's not a bad phone, obviously it depends what you want to do with it.

Battery life and call quality are supposed to be good and it's got a proper keyboard which helps.

I don't know about the E5, but the older E series had pretty good integration with mail too.

I have an older e66, which I use for work (well I did until I left it at my parents last weekend!). The e series is classed as a business grade of phone, mine runs a version of Symbian, so the number of apps available is somewhat lower, although there is an endomondo client available

It has a reasonable Exchange client on it - almost seems better than my WP7 mobile!

I have one. Seems to run fine. Had a few issues with the mail client on it not working properly for no apparent reason and quitting on me. Tech support at work couldn't find anything wrong with it. Deleted profile and set it up again and it seems to be fine so far.

Very good battery life. Clear sound. Good keyboard. Compact. Has an FM radio (OK'ish - cr@p earphones). All the usual web browsing facilities. Has SatNav built in. Sometimes better than my tomtom. Camera is totally rubbish as you'd expect from a phone.
