Alloy Wheel Refurbishment for just £20 per wheel @ City Powder Coating (Birmingham)

Featured Replies

Just noticed this cracking deal on another site, no good for me, as I`ve recently had mine done, and I live nowhere near Brum! Hope it is of use for someone though.

- Full chemical stripping

- Shot blasting

- Sanding / prep / refurb work

- Powder coating

- Full lacquer

I think you have to supply the wheel without a tyre, so it might cost you to have it removed at a tyre place and will certainly cost you to have a tyre put back on.

Can have the tyres taken off, then put back on for extra tenner. (Total £30)

Looks a great price... check it out! B)

That sounds too good to be true - it doesn't just undercut the competition, it's half the cost of any I've come across

Be I interesting to see the quality of finish and how long it lasts

This has been discussed a few times on here before.

I would however take issue on the:

- Sanding / prep / refurb work though, as from personal experience they do not spend long (if any time) on this, mine had very bad corrosion which was pitting the alloy in a couple of places, this is still visible if you look for it

This is the first (IIRC) thread on them

For those to lazy to read the whole thread :giggle: this is one of my wheels

If you are really anal about your whees and want them flawless then I would go elsewhere, but for 99% of the population they are more than good enough and you couldn't refurb them yourself for that price.
