56 Fabia VRS Seats - Bobbling Machines?

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just bought my first Skoda second hand - a 56 plate silver 1.9 VRS, 34k miles

My problem is that it has some slight wear and tear bobbling on the driver seat, and also a more noticable patch on one of the rear seats, which rather than wear and tear looks like has been caught on clothing or something being transported in the back seat and has been frayed. It has resulted in a small bobbly patch.

My dilema is that it is not hugely obvious, but I would really like to make it look better as I'm really pleased with my new car, but this is really playing on my mind. Has anybody ever used a JML bobble machine or similar product on VRS seats? I have read posts from people who have used shaving razors but this worries me a bit. I'm concerned I will make the issue worse by messing around trying to make it look better. Alternatively does anyone have any idea how much the dealer would charge to re-upholster a seat? It is under warranty for 1 year but I doubt they would cover this

Any advice greatfully received, thanks all

Mike

Can you post up a pic of the seat so I can offer some advice?

Just like shaving it's the same principle, if it's just bobbling then a machine or razor will do the job......

Hi Mike,

What with all the Mantis threads on here I feel like I work for JML customer service at the minute... To answer your question, yes the 'JML Bobble Off' will do a good SAFE job of removing the bobbles from your seat, it certainly wont do any harm. If nothing else you can restore a few winter woolies in time for the bad weather!

Thanks, John
