Ordered an Apple TV2 off the 'bay earlier this week..

Have to say its pretty useful!

Ovbiously i didnt buy it to give mr jobs more money for new body parts, its been jailbroken and XBMC installed.. works a treat!

The airplay stuff is also handy so i can play music from my ipad while sat on the sofa

Definately worth looking into for anyone whos into XBMC.. the only issue ive found with it is it doesnt support display in 1080p - however it will play 1080p files fine.

In standard form:

It allows you to rent movies etc and play from your telly, and play all the itunes from various machines round the house using home sharing and airplay..

For me now its jailbroken and XBMC installed, i use it to stream films/tv shows from my server to the telly.

Strangely the biggest day-to-day use ive found for it so far is music from my ipad... come home from work, turn on hifi and then choose music on the 'pad and use airplay to send it to the appletv.. simples.
