New Yeti arrived

Featured Replies

Dealer has just phoned to say my Yeti arrived yesterday. Through a fair wind and some good luck it has arrived in 28 days from placing order. I test drove a 1.2 SE+ on 4th August and asked the dealer to source me an Elegance with DSG to replace my ailing Honda Accord Coupe. The next day he phoned to say that there was one due to be built the next week in Steel Grey with a panoramic roof so I placed the order on the 5th August and here it is. Will pick it up next week after having a VW MDI unit fitted. Well done Winner Garage Cinderford.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for some really useful information. I think the Yeti will already feel like an old friend when I collect it.

Good to know that it is now very much wanted and going to a good home. Ours is very much wanted - as soon as my wife found it had the pano roof she started planning the days when she could have it. She never drove the Honda.

LOL yeah, my wife sat in the demonstrator I brought home and said "hmm this is comfier than your Octavia", then looked up and said "and I like THAT". Lucky I was able to get one with a sunroof after that really :smirk:

Like a kid waiting for Christmas I've just been down to the dealers and grabbed a shot in it's new born state. Thanks for all the comments about the sun roof. Hoping to get some use out of it before the clocks go back.

We've got visitors coming on Monday so we can try it out on them. All we need now is the sun.

Weird thing about a sunroof is that it also lets through moonlight!!!!! :giggle: So believe you me they will be as impressed at night if you take them through town with some lit up buildings around - you don't need sun.

That's a good point. After a lousy weekend Monday is gloriously sunny but my yeti has landed in Grimsby. ETA here for taking delivery is a week today. Fingers crossed the sun shines next week so I can show off my sunroof too.

Moonlight is fine but not many lit up buildings in the Forest of Dean! Have to go to Bristol for those although I suspect the Severn Bridge could look quite spectacular.

September can give us some good weather so fingers crossed here too. I'm collecting mine Friday now so you will only be a weekend behind me.

oh ho - I am near the Forth Bridge you've given me an idea. Edinburgh Castle would look good too except can't get along Princes Street due to the bl&$dy tram fiasco!

Why not panoramic roof tours for the tourists just like a Venetion gondola? No now we're getting silly.

you may be on to something here. There's someone else on here near to me who is waiting for a Pano sunroof - we could start doing city yeti tours :giggle:

Gather these big sunroofs are very popular for those who engage in meetings in secluded areas and those watching now bring a stepladder so they can look down from above on the action! :notme:
