Piece of cake, you need to remove the air filter box (on a Golf at least) so you can get to the plug, rotate the plug anticlockwise and remove it from the engine, plug the tuning box plug into the engine and the car's loom into the tuning box, then connect the tuning box to the battery, anyone competent can do it in less than 30 mins

easy job then, if you dont mind me asking but why remove it to have a remap? if this works so well?

SWMBO doesn't believe in modifying cars (a waste of money in her opinion) so a remap was out of the question when she bought the car..........

However she liked the extra torque the Dragon box gave the car as it was quite flat as std. This was all fine UNTIL she went in my Superb that Ben had just performed his magic on and she was amazed at the difference and now possibly wants one herself.

The Dragon box is very good but not as good as a good remap - but then it is also a lot chaaper and swappable between cars so if/when you decide to remove it you can get your money back on it.

HTH

Have you look on ebay, loads of tuning boxes of that type is on sale at much cheaper prices, i belive all it does its increase fuel pressure and nothing else, waste of money get it remap by a trusted tuning company.

i know as i had one in my scenic, after a year it throw up a engine light and i end up taking it out and binning the crap

Don't confuse the Dragon digital boxes with the analogue boxes or 'resistor in a box' as they are nothing alike.

This box has been on SWMBO's MK5 Golf for about 2 years, it produces no smoke but does increase the low down torque and bhp, yes there are crap boxes around but do your research and you will see that Dragon were a very respectable company and their digital boxed are highly regarded.

The blanket comment you have made above would be like saying all remaps are crap -some are, yet others are very good.

Either way SWMBO has just called me (I am at work) and said that she has decided to keep using the box as she doesn't believe that she will get the full benefit of spending an extra £200 (so a total of £300) over what she already has.
