Yeti-ELE-2.0CR-140HP-DSG-4x4 ordered. Colour: Petrol blue, Spare wheel, Columbus, TPM, Fixed towbar, Onyx Leather/Alcantara, 17" Spitzberg. Did not go for the sun-roof.

Would have picked the Aux heater if it had been possible, but this Yeti will be imported from UK. Aux heater will be fitted when I get the car.

It will be LHD. Will save between £5k and £6k by ordering thruogh a company here in Norway. Could have had the car delivered at my doorstep, but I will pick up the car at the UK dealers site. Used the same company for the Octavia. This was picked up in Sweden at a time Skodas were cheaper in Sweden.

But still I will have to pay nearly twice what you pay for a Yeti :'(

Ah ok! That will be an epic first journey home! Travelling to Norway in my Yeti is high on my list of things to do I have to say.

Update: Documents signed and deposit paid. Dealer is Griffin Tax Free in Brighton.

I am playing with an idea of getting rid of the 17" Spitsbergs in favor of 8 ea 16" alloys like this:WheelInterAction65x16Yeti.jpg. Wintertyres will most probably be the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7 in 215/60R16. Summertyres? -looking at Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S in 215/60R16, but I'm not sure. Hoping to find some more testreports on the Geolandars. Any of you guys tried the Geolandars?

Webasto will be fitted as soon as I get the Yeti home to Norway.

Had considered the Michelin Latitude as a replacement for the factory fit Continental car oriented tyres, as I've seen them being used on Yeti's over in France (French Forum). However there about £20 a corner more expensive than the Geolander or Goodyear Wrangler in the 215/60 size.

Believe James at Allams has some experience of the Geolander but not on a Yeti.

Good news.

Yesterday it was confirmed ours are going to be week 2 and 3. :)

Out of interest, do you have any information on a retro-fit aux heater you are planning to use?

Dealer advised me in early December that it was built and should be with them next week. Since then heard nothing. Might schneeble down to the dealer later to ask.

What's a schneeble?

Thanks for that Arkaig, I've bookmarked the link but I think the MacFadyin must have a different interpretation?

BossFox: I have contacted a local authorized Webasto dealer. Will pick up the discussion with them when I have Geiti on Scandinavian ground.

Anyone prepared to take over my 4 new 17" Spitzbergs (with some sort of factory fitted rubber)?

I think the MacFadyin must have a different interpretation?

An RAF expression meaning to bimble around, usually below the radar.

Which I did. Skoddy has arrived looking handsome in Lava Blue and smelling of new leather. Dealer prep had just been done and now the class three alarm has to be fitted. I should be able to pick him up on Wednesday after I've emptied the Piggy Bank.

I'd be very interested to hear how that goes.

The thing I miss the most from my old car is the aux heater.

Not so bad this year as it's been mild in the Southern UK, but the last two years it was very nice to have! :)

Had to cancel the plans for pick up in UK :( . Thus Geiti was shipped from Immingham to Bergen last weekend. Shipper did all the paperwork and Geiti was delivered at my doorstep last night, with plates, but om summer wheels. Changed wheels today from 225/50R17DunlopSPSport01/Spitzberg7J17 to 215/60R16NokianHakkapeliitta7(studded)/InterAction6,5J16. Disappointed of the leather seats, I had hoped the car came with the leather/alcantara combo. Next week off to the garage for Mercasol rust prevention and Ditec paint preservation. Feels good to finally be a Yeti'ist. Will also have to pick up the Aux heater project. Pictures will follow..... Sorry, no snow here at the moment, so no testing in the snow possible.
