Help needed with Octavia Estate

Featured Replies

hi, i hope this is in the right place!!!

having recently had an operation on my arm the car has not been driven in 6 weeks, and has been parked on my drive. i checked the car yesterday and the battery was low so it would not turn the engine over. i charged it up today and it has reached a stage where the charger is still saying 3/4 charged but the car starts now without a problem.

my issue is that now there is a yellow steering wheel symbol that has appeared on the rev counter that i have never seen before. the car has less than average mileage and was well maintained [my parents upgraded and i bought this off them].

do i need to worry? is this something that a quick drive will sort out or could it be related to the battery not being 100% fully charged?

i am not yet able to drive so will top up the battery anyway in the next day or so...

any ideas please...

[p.s. this was deffo not there while i was driving this car up till 6 weeks ago]

when the battery goes flat G85 which is the steering angle sensors losses its settings and needs to re calibrate. A short drive turning right and left stop to stop at some point and it will go out so dont panic.
