Daft question regarding fogs

Featured Replies

This will be answered in 2 minutes flat, but I don't know if I have a broken bulb. The lense looks like its meant to have 2, but only 1 works and that is the drivers side which is correct if there is just 1.

How many rear fog lights does a Fabia have?

1.9Tdi 100bhp 51reg if that makes the slightest bit of difference?

If it's the same as the Octavia...

1 rear fog lamp, on the drivers side :)

Cheers. I was getting worried about a blown bulb already.

Do you have an encyclopedia next to you by chance? Or just a whole list of really good links?

The nearside rear fog light is there (it's a dual-filament bulb like the offside one), but the wire for it isn't. I soldered a new wire across to get the n/s one working.

I'm tempted to solder a wire across too, to get two foglights but isn't there a legality issue with having two (mis-representing brake lights?)

I hardly ever use fogs anyway, so not overly worried. They come with only one working though.

I'm guessing just a simple pos and neg wire across and soldered onto the contacts should get it working?

Interesting...

A remarkable and well used ability to store otherwise useless information in my head :D

There's an article Here detailing the procedure for wiring the 2nd fog on an Octavia...Fabia might / might not be similar...

You know what the saying is, one mans rubbish is another man treasure.

I'll have to have a lookski tomo, bit pointless doing it in the dark.

IIRC my vRS actually has two fog lights as standard. Both the tail-lights get brighter when the rear fogs are on :s

  • 1 month later...

have a look here It is for the Octavia, but the FAbia should be fairly similar.
