Head unit? Which one?

Featured Replies

After selling my JVC double din head unit I'm after a single din. What would you recommend? Are there any good deals out there? I'm after reasonable sound quality, simplicity to use and must have a memory card slot weather it be a USB (must ge on a lead) or SD behind or on the face, or both. I'd appreciate your views on different H/U's and maybe a few piccies and links.

Many thanks to those who respond.

Ross.

Hows this Ross??

Usb on front, 3.5 jack input as well. And most importantly

matching green display. B) And for £80 delivered :o

Can't go wrong.

Just remember to switch the red and yellow wires round

before installation.

Seems good value given the RRP price was £150. It is a discontinued unit though. Would be worth checking the specs against Sony's newer models to suss out th real value of it.

Sony MEX-BT3800U (About £100). USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Handsfree etc etc

Well worth it for what you get. I also installed an aftermarket external microphone.

Cracking piece of kit IMHO

Nahhh, needs to be blue

I typed the model number in to google. One link showed up Amazon UK, so off I popped over there.

There's a whole load of no-longer-availables but you can find potential replacement/newer units. Some as low as £70!

Do your own research on it but I've formed the opinion Sony change their line up every time they change their socks. As a result, even the newer stuff is far cheaper than list price.

Thanks for your replies. Now time for some deciding. Gareth has come up with a Sony one I like the sound of.
