Speaker Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to upragde the spaeakers in my 56 Octavia vRS. I dont really want to change the tweeters just the larger speakers in all four doors. Is this possible? Can i change these and still have use of the tweeters?

Can anyone recommend some decent speakers for the upgrade. I've done a little digging online but cant seem to find much. I have a Columbus system if that makes any difference.

Thanks,

Lee

Thanks, are they easy to fit do you know?

just doing mine, not to hard . but get some spare door clips,

I had my speakers replaced last week (Ian Bannings in Guildford) with some Alpine units (for the Golf).

The difference is amazing - the standard speakers are pretty basic and had some dead spots - now I can hear all sorts of stuff from songs I thought I knew. I have a Columbus system and it's hopelessly let down by the standard offering.

Pioneer TS-A171Cis in the front. Leave the OEM rears but with the speakers disconnected. Invest in dynamat. Great value upgrade.
