Glow plug flashing light

Featured Replies

Evening all.

Before I decide to shell out on taking it to a garage figured i'd ask the experts.

I've a Fabia Estate 04 reg. Now done 160k, hoping i'll get another 100k!!

Anyhows Glow plug started to flash and a day later ESP light came on.

Read up on here common faults and have after noticing brake lights out have replaced the brake light switch.

This has now taken off the ESP fault but Glow plug fault still flashing and brake lights still not working!

I have switched one of my brake lights with a backlight and the bulbs okay!

Anybody got any other advice? will be gratefully received.

cheers Matt.

Your car is a Fabia I not a Fabia II so you'd be better off posting over there. Seeing as you've changed the brake pedal switch and checked your bulbs I would suggest your next step is to have the car scanned for faults.

My Fabia II went in today for that same fault, they said its an engine temperature sensor playing up, do as the above poster suggested and get it in for a check :)
