Bronze it is then! Changed my order!

Featured Replies

Popped in to see James at Allams yesterday and to look at the new Bronze colour swatch and we have now changed our order from the Moscovado to the Bronze! Hope it looks as good as I think it will! Also added the 3 spoke steering wheel to the order....damn it I promised no more additions to the order and I go and change the steering wheel! I have told James that if I ask for any more extras he must tell me off and ignore me! :D

Hi HeffS,

I seem to do the same thing - I contact the dealer to ask about someting and end up with another option as a consolation to myself for having to wait so long!

I was there with wife and son about 3pm! It was a close run thing colour wise....white came a very close. Its so bloody difficult to tell what the final colour will look like just from a scrap of paper......I did suggest to James if he could get another thousand colour samples then I could paste them on the demo,

I have ordered Bronze too......can't wait to see it!

I do think the Snow Monster is particularly well suited to white. The bronze they used to have on the Octavia just didn't look right to my eyes though a friend loved his. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

The problem, I think, with not being able to see a particular car in all available colours in the flesh is that you can't tell which colours suit the styling particularly. For example, I had cappucino on my previous Octy Scout, which I decided was a mistake, but I think it looks a great colour on Octy saloons and on Roomsters. No question in my mind that white is the colour that suits the Yeti best, but it's a brave choice to make if you don't like to spend all your time cleaning and polishing (that's if you're bothered about having a clean car - I know some 4x4 drivers regard muck as a badge of honour!).

I was going to go down the cappuccino route but then changed to white and not regretted it once. It really does suit the Yeti. Yes it's dirty most of the time, but you only really notice it when you are up close.

Autoglym do a wonderful product that really does the paintwork proud, so, bird droppings etc just wipe off. It is called Ultra Gloss Protection and makes washing the car so much easier and quicker, even though it has been treated with lifeshine.

There is mud and there is mud though.......

Clean cars never go out of town I have decided. (which is why mine is generally quite cleanemoticon-0136-giggle.gif) Clean cars are boring as they are never driven out of town. I do manage to escape occasionally - off down to Sittingborne to drop Swmbo off at a work event, then back round M26/M25 to Heathrow area. At least it will (hopefully) be faster than driving around London all dayemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Oh....it's white.......you can't see the mud all over the side and the black sills and the wheels.....emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

The car is filthy.

I used the Columbus to take my wife to a place in the kent countryside. One one the signs read "unsuitable for motors" so as the satnav said go down it, we did. I couldn't see why it was unsuitable for motors.....just brushing the greenery on both sides, a little bit of mud (now plastered all over the side of the car, even though I was only doing 5 mph and a few ruts. Nothing a 2WD Yeti or most cars couldn't cope with. Most fun I'd had all weekemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

Looks great! My next one WILL be white!

Bronze Metallic seems to be same as Terracotta Orange, both with code 0H0H.

Petrol Blue seems to be same as Lava Blue, both with code 0F0F.
