Featured Replies

Hi i was wondering what i would need for a big brake conversion and how to do it, Al's i can find are people selling or just brake disc most likely its me being a bit docile but i would appreciate it if any one could point me in the right direction.

Thanks Arron

Audi TT/Mk4 GTI Front calipers and cariers.

If you search ebay for "312mm VW" you will see loads of complete sets for £250

Discs and pads are a given

The cheapest and easiest big brake conversion is 312s. For this you need:-

1) A car with 288mm discs, and 16" or larger VAG wheels. Other makes of wheel may not clear the calipers.

2) A pair of 312mm caliper brackets, which can be had from a VAG dealership.

3) 312mm discs and a set of new pads.

If you mean the 312mm brake upgrade you`ll need Calipers, carriers & discs & pads. You can get them complete like this kit:

Or just get the calipers and carriers so you can get your own discs & pads

You need them for MK4 golf 5x100 fitting. If you get you own pads and discs just get them for a Octy vRS

Thank you for the replies and im guessing its bolt off bolt on no need to change brake lines/fluid etc. also will the Abs be fine.

Direct fit nothing else needed :)

you you`ll need to clamp the brake line, but it`s fairly straight forward. No abs issues or anything. There is a guide knocking about somewhere
