Yes you can but when I did mine one of the corners must have been stuck outide the rim of the drum so 20 minutes of 1200rpm later one corner was scored and melted..... :-(

might stick em in the washer then untill i get round to getting some more thanks guys

I stuck mines in washing machine and they came out like new!

Just put it on a low spin

Mines came out perfect.... Must have a better washing machine :)

I might try it this weekend (girlfriend's away so i wont get told off if it ruins the machine lol)

I'd visit the local laundrette if I was you. Did this on my old car and the mat came out virtually brand new... The washing machine was left in a right state... For the couple of quid that it'll cost- your best of going down te laundrette! :)

Stick em' in the washing machine, I had no problems when I did

what temp did you set it as? 40 degrees?

how much washing powder?

Low temp (30-40c), minimum spin, powder up to you but 80-100ml should be more than enough.

I did mine on quick wash with liquid soap :) came out nice

Washing machine is fine low spin thou.

Best one i did the other month was brake callipers in dish washer. Swmbo was in work.

Yeah stick them in the washer on a cold temp and gentle spin, that should sort them :)

Put mine in the machine and they came out good but nowhere near as the illegal immigrant car wash at my local tesco, dunno what they put on them but they now look brand new on a 70k car.

The cheapest new genuine set I found is £77? not worth it imo.

Love it! That's the kind of thing I do... then get into trouble! lol

I did mine with the karcher jetwash, seen this done at some of the local hand car washes and it works a treat, previously I did this on my BMWs and it was all good, no issues.

Or you can let them soak in a large sink, or the bath with some washing powder. Just give them a gentle scrub with a brush. Mine came out like new.

I cleaned my cylinder head in the dish washer while SWMBO was at work, twice. ;)

Mats should be fine, but I'd worry about them curling?

Dont use powder, use carpet cleaner (in machine).

Dave

Having seen what came off a head that someone had dish washed (twice) when it was properly cleaned I hope you did it properly afterwards.

washed mine this evening thanks to the info in this thread, seems to have made them much cleaner than before.
