ABS Coding / Superb / Need urgent help

Featured Replies

Some days ago I managed to break the clock spring ribbon cable. Yesterday it was repaired (resoldered connections) and as predicted, after installation ABS block codes are gone. So as looking how to recode this thing I did not manage to find nothing. Login codes are not working etc.

I have this fault code

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/01044

Where can I get some info about recoding ABS correctly? I don't have last codes, because I didn't know that coding will be lost and I didn't too any backup of it.

Need urgent help, because car has been standing for almost 2 weeks now :S

What are the full details of the car and the part number for the ABS?

Do you have an older saved scan of the car?

This is the reason I ALWAYS save a scan of a car before anything is changed, i have not yet needed to rely on the saved scan, but you never know!!

I have the old coding and workshop code. I did a full scan last year.

I have part nr in other computer.

I will go home and check it out.

EDIT: Is it something like this, that I generate login code from the details of car and then login it with this code and reenter the old code?

How can I now generate the login code from this, so I can recode the ABS?

With VCDS go into 03 Abs, coding, and enter the codes as per your previos scan,Software code 04277,WSC 00028, click on do it, turn key switch off and on again to store code

I can't turn off the key after coding, because I have to do G85 calibration whilst not going out of ABS block.

OK while still in ABS

[select]

[03 - ABS Brakes]

[Login - 11]

Enter 40168

[Do It!]

[basic Settings - 04]

Group 001

[Go!]

This will store the zero (centered) position of the steering wheel. There should be a displayed message that reads: "Steer. angle sender compens OK". If you get an error, it may mean the Login was not successfully performed.

Click the [Done, Go Back] button and you're all set.

Hello everyone how you solved this problem

The car is  Shkoda superB  2004 year engine- AWX the car came with a problem in the driver's airbag on the steering wheel with a broken ribbon cable.I put a 3 ohm resistor and the airbag lamp went out but the ABS module light came on.I tried to connect a vag com to the ABS module but there was no communication. It turned out that someone before me had dug into the car and the cable for the k-line was cut and cut in the dashboard and from the dashboard there was a new cable connected to pin 7 of the diagnostic socket.the ecu of the car could not communicate with the ABS when I opened the socket of the ABS module someone before me had cut the k-line and would be soldered again.

ABS Controller: 3U0 614 517 D  Component: ABS/ESP front 1314

I cut the cable in the socket of the ABS module and passed a new cable to 7 pin of the socket for diagnostics and communication was restored but the module had lost the encodings

I tried to encode it in the lunch and VAG COM but i don't know the original encodings I do not know the original codings, I tried with those that suggest VAG com

Login 09555
Coding 04255

but but I don't know where to find the WSC coding I wrote   WSC 12345

the car accepts the coding but after switch off the ignition key  and switch on again the car loses the coding

Coding: 00000

 WSC 00000

the car loses the saved settings and I have no idea how to fix the problem.

Can anyone help solve the problem.
