Eibach Lowering Any Pictures?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I Should be purchasing some eibach dampers and springs for my car, Just very intrested to see some pictures of how the car sits with them on.

More bothered about the handling, but still doesnt hurt to see what the end result may look like. :giggle:

Thanks all for contributions

This is the route I want to go down within the next 12 months or so. The eibach springs- what drop would you expect to see. Mines running the factory 16inch alloys on the normal Fabia suspension and it's too high for my liking!

Just imagine a standard Fabia a tiny bit lower. It's unnoticeable unless parking next to another standard one, if your doing it for handling then it's all good, if your doing it for looks then look at coilovers. (all IMO)

Thanks matt, what sort of drop is it do you know? Can you get away with just the springs?

Thanks

Its a -25mm drop if there the vrs specific springs. . But i think there's options aswell. . .

Mines just on the springs and it makes quite a noticeable difference

*noticeable difference in handling*

Only shot I could find, unfortunately moving but I'm on eibach springs and standard dampers should lower the car about 30 - 35 mm and running on 205/50/16 tyres so it fills the arch a bit more than normal.

I run eibach pro dampers but with 40mm apex springs as the eibach's were still a little high for me

Handling is good, but I also have jabba arb and seat front strut :smirk:

Koni FSD and Eibach ProKit:

I'm on koni fsd's and eibach springs -25mm, my project thread shows what it looks like. TBH your probs better off buyin coilovers if u want it to look perfect, I'll be gettin some coilovers soon I am not a fan of my fsd'd lol

Eibach Prolines lower between 10 and 30mm. Eibach Sportlines are a little lower still but the same spring stiffness.

I've read a lot about the quality of eibach springs and the difference they make to handling. Once my warranty runs out I'll be getting a set I hope :)

+1 there. I was after handling rather than lows but it doesn't look as low as

Karls in a similar pic.

But I put that down to the uprated dampers not compressing as much in the bends.

Mines just right for me. Managed to get off the drive 4 up without catching my

splitter on the floor. I'm -25mm on sports shocks.

Just for comparison to Karls, heres my pic.

I thought your tyres looked "different" when I saw your car on the day.

I have 50 profile on my winter wheels. Mine looks a tiny bit lower when it's on those.

Grr666 what set-up have you got and how do you find them handling / ride wise?

Looks a nice subtle drop.

Cheers, Andy.

After a few thousand miles, and springs had settled a bit:

It should be noted, that it is sitting on 17" wheels, and 215/40R17's

It does seem these fixed ride setups give a really nice oem looking drop!

Getting on okay with them, at ploddy around town type speeds

they are more comfortable on bad roads than the OE shocks and springs.

Find a pothole at 30+ and you'd know about it though mind you.

Had an 80mph ish blat round some local b roads yesterday and it never

felt like it was getting away from me, pretty flat in the bends and in the dry

at least, no understeer.

Another thng people often forget is that improving the shocks and springs

also has a distinct effect on the braking and acceleration characteristics

of a car as well as the more obvious cornering benefits.

Nose dive on braking and back dip on acceleration have been

drasticly reduced meaning quicker response from the brakes

and better traction on the pull away.

The upshot is that I am generally quite chuffed with the

improvement in drive over the money it cost me.

Nice little write up mate, its making me look at them over the eibach kit. I can understand what you mean about driving over pot holes and feeling it. But am sure you would with all uprated suspension unless it was some of this fancy comfort shocks etc...

Plus the price is alot cheaper than an eibach set up hmmmmmm not sure to take a chance on these instead :p

DPM seem to have some great offers on these kits has anyone got any experince of the koni SRT kit, there very well priced again

What are you running on your vRS thats a nice look

Eibach springs, normal 'pro' ones I think, -30mm?? Took a while for the springs to settle, 17" audi TT comps.
