Blaupunkt rear speakers

Featured Replies

Hi, does anybody know if the Blaupunkt rear parcel shelf speakers are better than the standard ones in mk1 vrs? dont wana start swapping them over if theres no quality difference.

Yeah they are but I ended up swapping those for the Pioneer two cone versions which are much better...thing is they don't do the ones that I've got anymore...just the lower spec ones which are about the same as the Blau's! B)

Got them fitted in mine, they produce alot more clarity, but apparently to make the most diffrence you need to wack in a new headunit!

Yes replacing the headunit will make a massive difference. Bit you will need to change rear speakers as they can't handle any form of bass note. Even the most baseless dubstep tune I have really batters the back speakers

You shouldnt be trying to run low frequencys through the rear speakers. You best option would be to run a sub how ever many inches required to suit your music style so for me 8" - 10" that in it self with a good headunit will allow you to push the high frequency work further up stage, with the low frequencys coming from the sub. Even amped standard speakers will cause distortation because your asking them to produce low, mid and high.

The op hasnt said what music his into, but I would highly recommend you start with the headunit first before anything else mate

I've not tried pushing any extra through not played with the levels on hu. I know they aren't suited for bass. But been banned by her in doors from filling the boot with subs and amps but am considering one of those little alpine all in units which go under seat. But want to swop multichanger first any ideas how easy this is?

How much are these updated speakers and where from? Links?

I have put a sony headunit in already aswell as alpine front speakers. but with the speaker settings set to the front ones only im getting a lot of vibrstion in the passenger door card.

the new blaupunkt rear speakers cost me £10 off ebay so if they are better than the awful ones in there already i can send some sound to the back ones to get rid of the vibration
