EML light on again!

Featured Replies

Hello guys and girls I'm new to the skoda scene and I'm struggling with a few issues!!

Basically the EML light came on last week and I was told to check the EGR valve.after inspection I found it was bogging!!! So I stripped it down and gave it a good clean out put it all back on the car to find the light still on!! So I looked at the black box on the top mount and could see all the tubes going to it, checked those and they were all ok so I checked the cable. Then hay presto the light went out î•

So now a week later the light has cone back on and I've checked tubes and cable and the light is still on! Surely it cannot be the valve dirty again?

P.s the car pulls and drives with no issues at all

Please could someone help me?

Sorry for essay

Check what engine type you have Tom, should be a sticker in the boot near the spare wheel well.

I've had a similar problem with my car lately.. After a long drive at a steady speed, the light would come on. This was caused by a gasket I think I've told you about on zsoc.

It needs drilling out to 11mm.

But this might not have anything to do with yours if you have a different engine type, so find that out first bud!
