Hi Guys;

I brought 2007 Skoda Octi 1.6 petrol couple of months back. I was really enjoying the car till last week since i am getting knocking sound only while accelerating. The sound is not seem to be coming from engine. The sound is more while turning and accelerator is pressed. The car is noiseless on neutral and when accelerator is not pressed :(

Also since couple days, my engine sound is not consistent, i can hear on neutral and while running, engine makes hummimg noise for few seconds in irregular intervals although RPM meter shows very tiny movement during humming course.

Any help appreciated on finding root cause of above problems.

Hi i have a 06 ambient 1.9 TDI I'm getting a horrible noise coming up threw the gearbox when cornering right if accelerating hard

not sure if this is linked to your problem, got it going to the dealer this week i will keep u updated

Sounds like it could be possible worn drive shaft or CV joint, especially if it happens mostly when turning.
