Tinting Film

Featured Replies

Has anyone on here ever used window tinting film as opposed to lamin-x when doing their headlights?

i had the same thought yesterday

not sure

i used fly eyes in the end was easier

Have done in the past on my other halfs old ka but just to darken out the orange triangle on her Ka's headlights.

It stayed on for about a year or so until we took it off to sell the car.

May well work on the Fabia headlights but there is no stretch or give with window tint film. Lamin-x will stretch a little with heat and is also a lot better protecting your lights as it's thick compared to window tint which is really thin.

Did mine recently with Lamin-x, tbh it was dead easy and I'm usually pretty useless with my big clumsy hands. Like the previous post says, Lamin-x is quite thick (nearly 2mm) so I'd imagine it would offer more resistance to stone chippings, etc.

Wouldnt it get covered it stone chips quickly?
