Changing times

Hi there i'm just wandering if any guys have swaped from an octy vrs down to a fabia vrs?

I'm fast approaching a new job which is going to involve some fairly galactic mileage and am toying of changing to a diesel but want one thats fun - hence fabia vrs :-) Anyone made this move?? - thoughts....

My other choice is to swap my father for his mk4 golf pd150......

Furby vRS should be pretty good, it's not as fast as the Octy vRS probably but it should be economical on longer journeys.

It all depends on how you drive - the Octy vRS should be pretty decent at constant, motorway speeds, but it would be worse in traffic jams.

There have been a fair few who've made the move. I'd try to get a test drive arranged and just take it out on the motorway, see what you think. It's not too bad :D

Why not get an Octy with the pd130 lump?

Or even an Octy 2 with the 2.0 TDI?

At least it would handle. :peepwall:

Local Skoda dealership have offered me what i think is a very very good deal on a fabia vrs and they look cute so i've been tempted

The octy's ok on mileage but not as good as the fabia although it told me i was doing 41.1mpg the other day (grandpa driving) :D

Don't like the seats in the standard octy and the octy 2 ones aren't great - girlfriend got splatted against the passenger window a few times on the test drive - does handle thou :)

Why not just get a Fabia vRS remapped then you get the best of both :)
