rear door lock problem

Heres one for yall!!, I own a 2003 VRS, Have had a problem recently that the rear passenger left hand side door will not unlock.

Now I have no idea where to start tyring to figure out how to find the problem as I guess i have to open the door to get to the lock mechanisem...,

Has this ever happend to anyone at all??!!

Any advice will be much apriceated!!
