I don't feel I have to defend anything, especially to such a moron as the "ekko star" troll in that thread. I've seen this exact bullsh1t again in some youtube videos I think and it's unbelievably pathetic. It only proves once more how good this car is and how much it offers compared to the competition. That's why there has been lot of discussion and effort to criticise it. You only care about something which is actually good, as the vRS, nobody wastes his time with a loser. That's why I am not losing my time with fools like this guy. The car pretty much defends itself better than I could do, with all its technical specs, if only it could talk too....

To me, probably a poor guy who had his a@@ kicked by a vrs and now has to troll his way to the forums... I love the feeling of my car, I love its look even more, and so have all the different people that have driven it, and some of them know a lot more about cars, so why really bother???

The mk2 isn't the best looking thing ever, then again, neither is the Apache helicopter but it gets the job done.

ekko star is a right tosspot by the sounds of things. I have read through most of it and his basic hate is with the badge. I priced up the Monte Carlo against similar spec A1's and Polo's. I couldn't get anything near the quality of the car for anywhere near the price. The engine variants they offered were lower power by 15bhp and they wanted extra money for the standard fitments on the Monte. I guess his name says it all though, he probably spends all his spare cash on Chav clothes and a Vauxhall Corsa riding on 20's other than consider what is right under his nose.

I had posted on the forum as my car is my avatar picture over there. If I had posted in defense of my choice of car, which i really don't think needs defending would just be encouraging him, not worth it

Agree. I got into a debate with someone on Facebook about 9/11. They argued that it was an inside job done by the US government. I said I didn't agree and it all kicked off.

Haters gonna hate. The thick people still call my vRS a cheap VW as if that's a bad thing. How exactly is that a bad thing? I've saved a lot of money for the same thing, same power, same quality and more practicality. I don't have to defend anything to anyone especially some troll. If people want to still think Skodas are a joke then let them. Don't want mindless people like that driving Skoda's, it makes the rest of us look bad. I'm quite happy it being out little secret. Skoda's are top of nearly every survey so do we really have anything to prove?

Interesting that the vRS is almost a second quicker to 60 than VAG claim. Of course, they wouldn't want a Skoda to be quicker on paper than their beautiful baby Polo GTI would they?

I don't care tbh. I don't know them, they don't know me. Just like winding people up over there as there are some right plebs on there.

To be honest I'm not a lover of the 1.4 Tsi engine, but that's just me however it's a cracking car and for the money impossible to better and the new polo in the WRC is the engine that's in the skoda so happy drivers all round I've tried loads of cars from BMW to Audi and the skoda for me is better by far, so ekko whatever I bet he drives an Audi the c@kk
