fabia 1.4 auto no ecu comms

Featured Replies

my dad has a fabia 1.4 auto which used to belong to my grandfather, ever since the car has been in the family i have never been able to access codes from the ecu, vag-com says "cannot sync baud rate". vagcom works on every other vag i have tried it on including a ford galaxy which shares vag components.

recently i had a phone call from my dad saying that he could not put the car into drive or any other gear once the engine was started.. i went to investigate and attempted to tow him, got the tow roped attatched, went off to go and he started blasting his horn.. cut a long story short it suddenly started going into gear and drives fine now. but since this incident the enging management light stays on and the EPC light is also staying on.. i still cannot read any codes from the engine module but all other modules communicate fine..

any idea`s?..

cheers, jamie.
