Swing radio & iphone/ipod

Featured Replies

Hi. Just bought a new green line estate. Having difficulties with the MDI and iPod connector. Can plug in ipod/iphone to MDI, but the head unit does not seem to recognise the ipod/iphone. When I press 'media' only CD or Aux appear as options...no MDI.

Anyone any suggestions?

Thanks

You'll need a specific cable from skoda, the cables are very temperamental , are you plugging it into the head unit directly or using the docking system, if straight to the header. Unit a standard twin male connector is required , eBay couple of £

What year is it?

Mine is displayed under - Media > PD

I did notice that the MDI is cancelled out by using the aux in 3.5mm jack.

When this is in use, PD disappears from media, in favour of AUX'

Not sure if this is what you are seeing, if something is plugged into the aux in?

MDI lead has probably become dislodged from the back of the stereo, had this problem after I got a Parrot kit fitted. Installer said the plug wouldn't stay in - I think they probably damaged the plug and didn't want to admit it. Fixed now anyway.

You'll need to see PD option on stereo when you press Media button.

Hi. Thanks for replies. Thought I'd share solution.

Took car back to dealers. Apparently 'coded' incorrectly. Dealer attached car to a computer & downloaded some software.

Works fine now :-)
