amp+ sub

Featured Replies

can any1 tell me how 2 wire an amp up 2 a standard symphony head unit.i have fitted them 2 many cars but there doesnt seem 2 be an aux outlet or anywhere for the remote wire .

:(

Could tap into the signal wires for the rear speakers. . .Wire them into the amp ect ect. . Only need a power wire running thru the car then too :-)

You can buy an adapter from eBay that gives you two RCA outputs from yellow plug on the back of the headunit.

Just need an ignition live for the remote for the amp or some of the adapters have a remote on them.

But tbh your better off binning the gash Symphony and getting a better head unit.

i've got 2 amps & 2 subs in the spare room just gatherin dust, thought i would put at least 1 ov each 2 good use instead ov just been sat there

Fair point - why not sell one and use the proceeds to buy a HU?

Opinions are divided over the Symphony. Personally, I find it fine but it lacks a decent EQ.

Most who've tried seem to like the standard speakers with a beefier HU or amp'd though.

If you keep the Symphony...

Scroll down that for the wiring block. It's the first "yellow" section of the 20 pin connector.

Then you might need one of these.

Easiest way would be to simply add an amp and subwoofer to the rear channel. Hopefully one or both of your amps has a low pass filter...

If you have a 4 channel amp or two, 2 channel, wiring into the front doors is apparently easier than it looks. My amp sits underneath the passenger seat.

I've got the cable for sale in the for sale section along with other ICE stuff.
