I seem to have a knocking coming from the transmission area, I have had it checked by a local mechanic who couldn't find anything strange with the gearbox/engine mountings.

It happens mostly in 3rd gear, when coming to a roundabout and slowing down, then applying power again, there's a pretty loud knock.

It does happen in other gears too, it isn't consistent, more tempramental.

Anyone experienced similar?

Wishbone bushes or lower engine mount maybe.
