A fault came up today with my intermittent wiper settings.

2006 VRS 2.0tfsi, non auto wipe or cruise control.

When set on intermittent with the switch variable speed switch set to "1" it normally takes my wipers 2-3 secs between wipes, on the slowest setting it's aboput 20 secs between wipes.

today the wipers are only working at the slowest setting no matter what frequency I select on the switch. I have notice3d I can get it to return back to 2 second intervals by swithing to normal wiper speed and then back to intermittent but this doesn't always work.

Anyone any idea of what's going on and if this is something that I can fix at home?

Mine does the same, I gave my switch a quick clean and it worked. Think I need to give it a proper clean as it does not work properly all the time.

Thanks Russ, what do you mean by a quick clean? are you talking about removing the switch and getting inside or just general grim from asround the slider switch?

You can unclip the slider switch and take it out just like the crusie control switch. There is a guide on here somewhere I think about cleaning the crusie control switch if you have a search.
