Factory fitted SWING radio on my 2011 Fabia has never picked up an AM signal, I asked local Skoda dealer about this and was told this was normal on VAG radios .Anyone have a recent Skoda that the radio picks up AM or had to have a soft ware upgrade or better aerial under warranty to receive AM

Mine picks up AM just fine although I did find in general my radio reception was poor until I gave my aerial a good tighten.

Mine picks up the AM signals just fine.

AM reception is fine on my car,

To get AM just press and hold the button marked RADIO and then you can choose between AM or FM,

There isn't much on AM these days.

The mighty talk sport is on AM. I do find theres loads of interferance and its not a great signal.

for sports radio and radio 4 LW for test match special

Hi thanks for verifying radio should get AM, FM and AM does appear when holding down RADIO button but wiil not switch to AM so I will get it booked in and be able to say to Skoda dealer current VAG radios do still get AM contrary to what i was told

I just discovered something. If you press & hold the "silence" & "volume" roller button on the multi function steering wheel, it turns the radio on, do it again and it turns it off - both without having to touch the radio itself!
