glow plugs

Featured Replies

any one know how to replace the glow plugs pictures would be good thanks

I've done the glow plugs today on my 2.0 TDI PD (BKD engine).

On the BKD engine the glow plugs can only be got at by removing the head cover. For something that has been straight forward on previous non-Skoda cars I have to say this job was a drag!

What model/engine have you got?

In summary I had to remove the plastic engine cover, remove the air box, remove and loosen some bolts to create a bit of room to then take off the head cover. Once the head cover is off you can get at the glow plugs but you'll need a long socket. It's also better to do with the engine warm. In terms of tools the only other thing needed is a star bolt bit.

Let me know your model/engine and I'll see how bad your's are!
