maybe cus its got a "fancie" bit of plastic on top of it to act as a micro spoiler LOL:)

Seems to be an option in Switzerland from www.skoda.ch so may be it is in a number of markets.

Here in belgium it's an option too. Costs about 60 euro, which is not worth it, because you hardly ever use it with a rear-window that is flat like on the new octavia.

The combi versions have it standard, because on such a rear-window you'll have to use it more frequently.

Or that's what the dealer here told me.

In fact, I think that when you buy this car in the UK, it comes with a lot more options than here. For example, here in belgium, the radio/CD is ALWAYS an option, no matter which one you take (audience or stream). I think that I've read somewhere that it fitted standard on UK cars.

In the UK, the Rear Aero wiper is standard, I'm sure...... Give me a couple of days and I'll be able to tell you for definite

I strongly disagree. I need to use mine very regularly.

My old Mk1 Ocky did not have a rear wiper and it was a major pain.

Hm, even when the window is clean, you can't see much in your rear view mirror, certainly with the new octavia. I don't miss it at all actually :-)

I can confirm that the rear Aero wiper is standard in the UK, on the estate anyway. What is the big deal with these wipers anyhow? They don't seem any better than normal ones to me, and they look strange.

Rear wiper is an option in Finland too...

I got mine with SunSafeGlass-laminated glasses (1350 EUR).

Although it is gettable with 115 EUR price tag too...
