Oily Drip

Featured Replies

While under the Fabia doing an oil change last week I noticed what looks like thin clean(ish) oil waiting to drip off the bottom of a U shaped pipe.

Can't see anything above which might be dripping onto the pipe, so I guess the U pipe is weeping. Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the pointer Chris, I've had a dig through the diagrams on www.vagcat.com and it does look like an aircon pipe.

Will get it into the garage for a quote, but probably expensive.

Cheers,

David.

If it is the aircon pipe...

...I may have a cheaper alternative to replacement if it's the pipe itself. If it's a join, then not ideal but if it's a pipe...

Then using fibreglass for repairs should be worth a shot.

I'm going to use some of:

In order to patch up my pipe.

I'll let you know how it goes :)
