vrs supercharger noise

Featured Replies

So I tried taking this cover off today and I've either got the wrong cover or those clips are really hard to get off couldn't clip em off to save my life is there a technique or do you have to do it from underneath the car ( on about this supercharger baffler padding)

Can't wait to give this a go, any extra noise from this lovely engine is a bonus

Let us know how it goes! (:

Be interested to hear an engine without the sound deadening.

Yea I've searched all over on this subject and the amount of people asking for audio after it has been removed was quite a lot but no-one seemed to post one up

I'm going to have my tires booked to be filled with Nitrogen so when it's up on the lift I might have a little nose around under the engine bay as apparently it's much easier to get it out that way.

I hope you are getting your tyres filled for free.

Ant-Vrs has this noise cancelling foam removed

Yeah I've done it and it took me bloody hours too

Is the supercharger whine worth the hasle?

Yes!

The turbo produces more power but the best part of this car is that supercharger whine!

Because why not, haven't filled them since I bought it and plus it's only £5 for them to do it all for me, pocket change :mmm:

If you want to let down your pressure, then reinflate do you go back in and get it done free,

and if you are away some place do they have branches nation wide that put in the magic air?

Lots of vRS owners run with the special 'Heavy Air', available from Amazon,  Ebay etc  and it really improves the handling.

Just as a note. I did the supercharger housing last weekend. For anyone trying this, it's an absolute pig to get out, even when it's up on a ramp.

You can hear the whine a lot more, but for literally 2 seconds before the supercharger cuts off. Glad I did it, but if I had advise if it's worth the hassle. The answer would be no! :(

Anyone else done this and noticed any difference apart from the supercharger whine?

I stumbled across this online and this guy guy seems to think you can can feel a performance difference?

Not a chance, won't do anything for performance other than the car being 2kg lighter
