Octavia FL Steering Wheel on to Pre-FL?

Featured Replies

I've just read this thread about 5 times and I'm still confused as to whether it is possible to put a three spoke FL MFSW on to a pre-FL Octavia that does not have one already. It has a four spoke standard steering wheel (not leather though).

I have a replacement highline steering controller 1K0 953 549 BP (which supports CC, MFSW & Computer) ready to go in at the same time and I know I have to get a new airbag and a new loom.

I have Bluetooth linked to a 2010 Columbus unit.

I think the OP was about putting a FL non-MFSW on to a pre-FL in place of the MFSW. But I got lost somewhere...

So, can I do it or not?

Shark's post (#4) seems to clearly state that it is not possible to get the full range (any?) of functions working on a pre-FL.

Hi Guys,

Right ive had the new 3 spoke FL non-MFSW fitted - but my horn did not work.

So I have had the steering wheel control module fitted and this has made the horn work...

The only problem with the new module is that it cant be coded to work the cruise control that is fitted to the vehicle.

The buttons to change the multi-function display also dont work.

Question is:

Does anyone know which steering wheel control module will allow -

> 2010 FL non-MFSW

> cruise control and mfd controls fitted from standard on my 2007 octavia.

Hope someone can help....

Regards

Tim.

Each to their own, but seems a hell of a lot of effort and expense just for a steering wheel.
