battery on its way out?

hi guy's just started 2 notice that since its got colder my vrs turns over really slowly, it starts fine but was wondering if this means my battery is getting tired and is maybe time for a new one? what do you recon am i right or is this just normal for this time of year with these car's as its my first diesel. thanks nathan.

Cold normally makes bad batteries play up more readily. Best to get it sorted before it gets colder and won't start at all.

In addition to MoggyTech's comment, it's worth noting that if a battery is below 12.5v then this could be caused by undue current consumption, due to an electrical fault. But chances are it is the battery itself.

My battery is over 8 years old and works fine but i've started using a solar powered charger that plugs into aux power socket to keep it in top nick as it's often left standing for weeks on end without being run.Seems to do a good job. Have a look on amazon.

My battery is always a little under the weather in the cold snaps and takes a few miles to warm up. Last winter it kept messing up my abs etc and no doubt it will mess it up this year until it gets warmer or this winter may actually kill it off.
