Electric tailgate opens fully, then lowers a bit?
anewman replied to Stuom's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I've had this issue. I opted to let it drop then press and hold the button. Now it doesn't drop slightly after opening. -
The drive mode setting affects smoothness of ACC.

Been getting an annoying buzzing noise. Have managed to locate it to the rear passenger side tweeter. It's the sort of noise that I know if I mentioned to someone else they would struggle to hear it, but it's definitely not a fignent of my imagination. And it's definitely only the rear passenger nearside. Weird thing is it's still there even with the stereo muted or turned off. Take keys out of the ignition and it's still there, but randomly stops about a minute after removing keys. I've tried rebooting the stereo by holding the power button. With ignition off the noise returns a few seconds after closing a door (but NOT just merely opening it alone). goes away a short delay after the interior lights go off. With everything off a while and doors left closed, if I turn the stereo on even muted, the noise returns.

Boot open warning randomly comes on
anewman replied to anewman's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Swapped the LEDs in the boot out for the original bulbs and the issue is gone. Wonder if there might be a setting in VCDS to adjust. For connect the roof bulbs were always the original ones (not led). -
But only when any of the interior roof lights are turned on, and the engine is running. I only noticed it after cleaning the car so I'm guessing some stay water has gotten somewhere. It's a 2016 hatchback with electric opening boot.

Help changing adaptive xenon d3s bulb?
anewman replied to shea1980's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Having exactly the same issue. Bulb came out fine. Finding it impossible to get a new bulb in. It feels like it's seated correctly, but whatever I do I can't get the clips to secure the bulb in place. I can see it should simply be a case of squeezing the prongs then pushing them towards the front of the car then releasing. Any hints/tips please? Edit. Used needle nose pliers on the spring clip. This gave me enough purchase to push forwards to engage it properly. -
Have removed bulb but struggling to refit. It's the type with a metal spring clip. Is the bulb meant to come out on its own with no plastic add-on? Any tips on getting the spring to reseat properly with the bulb in position? Thanks. Edit. Used needle nose pliers on the spring clip. This gave me enough purchase to push forwards to engage it properly.

I have a dead insect in the bottom right of the outer tail light. Is it possible to remove it from my tail light? I can see 4x tx20 bolts on the rear of the light. Thanks.

With Skoda Connect Lite, the detected fuel fill amounts are way off the actual amounts.

Engine bay surprises
anewman replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman
On my Fabia 1.4 mpi with engine beauty cover removed, I used cable ties to prevent the oil cap from disappearing. One around the bottom going under the pipes, and another going around that and across the top of the oil cap. It could easily be slid to the side to take the cap off. -
It's a 2016 SE L executive which was advertised as coming with 18" wheels, and I think should have come with 18" Zenith alloys, but it has these 17" wheels instead. Anyone know what type of wheels they are and if they're the right ones? What type of recourse should I expect from a used car dealer if they're incorrect? (Pretty annoyed with myself I didn't pick up on this detail from the pictures). Thanks.

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202205195880675 Seems a reasonable balance of spec/features I am looking for, and price for my budget. KESSY and park assist would be nice, but figure can't expect to get everything. Can't help but feel it's paying over the odds, but I figure that's just the used car market right now (with Covid cutting supply of new cars and everyone keeping hold of old ones)?!
