DMF Under Skoda Warranty

Featured Replies

I was just wondering how people have got on with faulty DMFs under Skodas used car warranty?

I have just been to the dealer about mine and they instantly agreed it was the flywheel but now apparently some Skoda bloke has to come out and inspect it. Then they threw in a load of BS about if it was the clucth causing it then its not covered.

Obviously its not the clutch causing it, we all know its a common fault. But has anybody ever had them try argue this? I mean if they say that, how on earth do you prove them wrong?

Just covering their bases and doing it by the book. Expect to be charged for new clutch kit, which should really be changed along with the DMF while the gearbox is out.

Thats fine, paying for the clucth is acceptable.

I just have it in the back of my head I'm going to get some crazy £1000+ bill and them arguing it was not faulty etc etc etc :(
