Hi

I currently drive a 2007 2.0 pd 140 tdi elegance estate as a taxi,its a great car but my only problem is the fuel economy is terrible.

Around town i average 33mpg and even on a recent round trip of 200 miles on a motorway only went upto 38mpg.

Ive had it serviced with the fuel/air filters changed and regularly have the oil changed for quantum long life oil.

I know this is heavier than the mk1 estate it replaced but i could average 55mpg without trying too hard.

Its got to a point where im considering part exchanging it for something less thirsty but would be a shame because its a nice car.

Is this mpg normal and is it worth considering getting it re mapped/chipped?

I would be grateful for any advice!

Get codes read, that's very low even with a "taxi driver right foot"
